LCD Display has three types.
I. Reflective Type
Reflective LCD has a reflective plate behind the bottom polarizer, which is generally used outdoors and in well-lit offices.
2. Transmissive Type
The bottom polarizer of transmissive LCD is a transmitting polarizer, which requires continuous use of backlight and is generally used in poorly lit environments.
3. Transmission-reflection Type.
Transmissive LCD is in between the above two, the bottom polarizer can partially reflect, generally also with backlight, when the light is good, you can turn off the backlight; poor light, you can light up the backlight to use LCD.
