How does a TFT display show patterns?

Briefly explain the structure and display principle of TFT-LCD. TFT-LCD liquid crystal panel consists of backlight, polarizer, transparent electrode (control circuit), liquid crystal, color filter and polarizer.

  When linearly polarized light strikes the upper slit, it rotates with the liquid crystal molecules; when linearly polarized light strikes the lower slit, it has rotated 90 degrees. When a voltage is applied between the upper and lower surfaces, the liquid crystal molecules are aligned in the direction of the electric field, forming a vertical alignment. At this point, the incident light is not affected by the liquid crystal molecules, and a straight line cannot shoot out of the lower surface. Different voltage values determine the angle of liquid crystal deflection.

The three colors are filtered out through a filter film, and then the rotation angle of the liquid crystal is adjusted by changing the drive voltage, thus changing the amount of light passing through the RGB sub-pixels, and using the principle of additive color mixing to obtain a rich color expression.
